Liangjun Zhang is deputy director of Robotics and Autonomous Driving Lab (RAL) of Baidu Research. Dr. Zhang received his PhD in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and MS/BS from Zhejiang University. He was a NSF computing innovation fellow in the computer science department at Stanford University. Before joining in Baidu Research, he was a principal engineer at an autonomous driving startup and worked for Samsung Research America and Honda Research Institute, USA. His research interests span robotics, autonomous driving, simulation, geometric computing, and computer graphics. He has received a number of awards including a best paper award and distinguished PhD dissertation award.
